STAMFORD - Members of a Stamford church say the woman accused of ramming the White House gates on Thursday reached out for help in the days before her death.

Miriam Carey, 34,  was shot to death by authorities during a chase from the White House to the U.S. Capitol.

She occasionally attended Union Baptist Church. Someone from the church says Carey was not a member, but did attend last Sunday's service.

The person also says Carey called the church on Tuesday looking for someone to talk to.
