STRATFORD - There is an uncertain future for Sikorsky aircraft in Stratford today.

But town leaders say there's no need to worry about losing the plant that employs about 7,000 people. The helicopter plant's parent company United Technologies says it's considering several options from selling or spinning off the company to no action at all.

U.S Senator Richard Blumenthal says there's no need for Connecticut residents and leaders to worry.

Mayor John Harkins says he received assurances that even if Sikorsky was spun off, it would not leave town.
