NEWTOWN - A spokesperson with the U.S. Postal Service said in the course of less than 24 hours, thousands of people worldwide have mailed condolence letters and packages to those affected by the mass shooting.

Officials say due to the amount of mail received, they have designated a specific PO box for all of the condolences. Postal service workers say they expect to receive thousands more.

To send general or specific condolences, mail letters to: P.O. Box 3700, Newtown, CT 06740.
