Vandals cause extensive damage to Wilton home

Police are investigating after they say someone extensively damaged a vacant home in Wilton.Officials say vandals struck a house undergoing renovations on Charter Oak Drive

WILTON - Police are investigating after they say someone extensively damaged a vacant home in Wilton.

Officials say vandals struck a house undergoing renovations on Charter Oak Drive either last Friday or Saturday.

According to the homeowners, the damage includes a shattered chandelier, furniture thrown through windows and holes in the walls. They say it will cost between $60,000 and $80,000 to repair.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Wilton Police Department.
