Victim in Darien crash was pregnant

DARIEN - One of the two people killed in a crash in Darien over the weekend was pregnant, according to police.

Yadira Torres, the woman accused of causing the crash, was arraigned on manslaughter, reckless driving and DUI charges yesterday.

Police say the 26-year-old passed a tractor-trailer Saturday, lost control and hit the truck, causing it to crash and burst into flames.

Both people in the tractor-trailer died. Their names have not yet been released.
