STAMFORD - Mike Valentine can thank his iPad for the recovery of his stolen car.

Valentine owns Love Cuts Barber Shop in Stamford. Police say Bacilio Martinez, 19, grabbed Valentine’s keys from a chair at the shop, jumped in the car and took off.

Valentine realized his iPad was still in the trunk and used a GPS app on his shop’s computer to track the car. He was then able to call police with the exact location of the stolen vehicle.

Police arrested Martinez about a mile from the barber shop. According to police, he claimed to have bought the car for $300 at McDonalds.
