MANCHESTER - Nearly 200 people attended a candlelight vigil this evening, remembering the eight men who were gunned down at a beer distribution company last week.

Residents gathered at Central Park in Manchester for the vigil only one week after Omar Thornton killed eight co-workers and wounded two others before killing himself at the Hartford Distributors building.

Governor Jodi Rell has declared Monday a day of remembrance for the victims, asking everyone to observe a moment of silence at 9:15 in the morning.
