Vigil held for Stamford motorcycle crash victim

STAMFORD - Friends and family held a vigil this evening for a Stamford man who was killed in a weekend motorcycle crash. Authorities say 25-year-old Eric Rios-Martinez was killed Saturday when he crashed his motorcycle near the Fairway Market on Canal Street. Police say he collided with a Volvo pulling out of a driveway. Loved ones have placed flowers, toys and photos at the site, although some say that they are not surprised the accident happened where it did. One resident, Bob Williams, says officials have revitalized the southern end of the city, leading to more traffic in the area. Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
