BRIDGEPORT - Some parents in Bridgeport are calling on the school district for action after a violent fight was caught on camera at Harding High School.

The video shows a male teacher being pushed to the ground as he tries to break up the fight between two female students inside the school on Monday.

Parents say they were horrified when they saw the fight after students began sharing it on social media.

Bridgeport Superintendent Fran Rabinowitz says school officials are doing everything in their power to prevent other confrontations from taking place.

She adds that the students involved were each suspended 10 days and could be expelled. Anyone else who engages in similar acts at school, Rabinowitz says, will be disciplined accordingly.
