STAMFORD - People began lining up early Thursday morning at the Wilson Food Pantry in Stamford where free Thanksgiving turkeys and fixings were handed out. Organizers say some people were there as early as 6 a.m. More than 400 turkeys were handed out.
The coordinator for the Wilson Food Pantry says she's grateful for the 40 volunteers that came out to help with the large crowd. The volunteers were from churches around the country.
All the food came from the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, which says it?s in desperate need of donations.
