DARIEN - A wake was held today for the Darien teen killed in an accident over the weekend.
Now, a Norwalk taxi company is saying 19-year-old Brendan Shay appeared drunk when he was picked up for a ride home.
The taxi company tells News 12 Connecticut exclusively that Shay opened the door to the cab and got out while it was still moving.
The taxi company says Shay was then brought home to his father who helped bring the teen inside. He was brought to the hospital that night where he later died.
Many are wondering how Shay could have gotten alcohol. Police say he possibly had a fake ID.
