STAMFORD - The recent surge of wet weather has left many people in the area dealing with water in their basements.
Servpro in Stamford is working on more than 100 jobs right now and has been sending crews to take care of the damage. Servpro owner Joseph Pelli says his company has been extremely busy since Friday, cleaning businesses and basements.
Pelli says Servpro sometimes cleans basements that have 8-10 feet of water in them. The company’s busy season is usually in the spring, but Pelli says it came later this year.
The owner says some of the more common problems he's dealing with are leaking roofs and water seeping through the basement, which can lead to mold if it is not cleaned up.
