DARIEN - WCBS anchor Rob Morrison appeared in court today on charges he choked his wife.

Darien police say they were called to Morrison's house on Hollow Tree Ridge Road early Sunday morning for a domestic disturbance. Police say when officers got to their home, Ashley Morrison, an anchor for CBS MoneyWatch, had red marks on her neck.

Police claim they heard him verbally threaten her after he was arrested.

The couple released a joint statement yesterday, saying the "allegations have been greatly exaggerated."

The judge ordered Morrison to stay at least 100 yards away from his wife except while working together at CBS.

Published reports say Morrison was previously arrested in 2009 for assaulting his wife. The couple has a young son together.
