DANBURY - A missing Western Connecticut State University student has been found alive in a New York hospital.

Ihtzaz Ahmed, 24, had been reported missing May 12 and was found two days later in Troy, N.Y. by police on an Amtrak train.

Police say he was physically OK, but was taken to Samaritan Hospital because he was disoriented and unaware of who he is.

Ahmed was identified on Monday when Danbury police sent fingerprints and photos to Troy officials.

He remains in the hospital.
