NORWALK - Summer-like temperatures over the past few days have made those who repair and sell air conditioners very busy.

Rodney Hanscomb, of Celco Heating and Air Conditioning, says he received 30 calls for repairs on Thursday alone.

"The season started a little slower this year,” he says. “Usually, we've already had some warmer temperatures, and a lot of times people don't know what shape their air conditioner is in until they need it.”

Eric Aitoro, the manager at  Aitoro Appliance in Norwalk, says the store has sold about 25 air conditioners over the past few days.  Aitoro says if you're thinking about buying an air conditioner, know the size of the space you need to cool before you head to the store.

Also, experts say it's important to make sure previously installed air conditioners’ filters are clean.
