WATERBURY - Today marks 12 years since the disappearance of a Waterbury man.

Billy Smolinski, 31, vanished in 2004 after his family says he learned his girlfriend was having an affair with a married politician.

Smolinski was a school bus driver in Woodbridge.

Police had gotten a tip and dug up some areas in Seymour, but they did not come up with a body.

Smolinski's parents have said they believe their son was murdered.
