WILTON - Today's returning federal workers included rangers at Connecticut's Weir Farm National Historic Site in Wilton.
Rangers say that even though it is a national site, people in the area treat Weir Farm as their community park. Workers are especially happy to have things up and running.
For the previous 16 days, visitors to the historic site had been met with signs announcing that the park was closed.
One worker says the staff stayed in touch during the shutdown, and they're grateful to be together again now that the park has reopened.
