State health officials say they have found the West Nile Virus in mosquitoes trapped in three local communities.The virus was recently discovered in Fairfield, Milford

FAIRFIELD - State health officials say they have found the West Nile Virus in mosquitoes trapped in three local communities.

The virus was recently discovered in Fairfield, Milford and Westport.

The virus had previously been found in mosquitoes from Bridgeport, Norwalk, Orange and Stamford.

Only one person, a Trumbull resident, has tested positive for the virus so far this year.
