WESTON - Weston officials held a town meeting about possible changes to the town's firearms ordinance Thursday night in the wake of the Newtown massacre.
The meeting was held at the Weston School.
News 12 Connecticut reports that people were lined up before the meeting, and police were at hand as a precaution.
Officials are considering enforcing stricter storage requirements, but they say they have backed away from the idea of making people register firearms with local police because that information would be public.
Town officials say they'll have to have another public discussion before any changes would be made to the laws.
