WESTON - Weston school officials are working with police to investigate threats made on the Instagram.

Police say middle school students saw the comment earlier this week.

Officers say school officials sent out an alert to parents yesterday.

Police say they are taking the threat seriously, but there is no evidence the threat was credible.

Chief John Troxell, of the Weston Police Department, says the department had already scheduled an information session for parents about social media and how to protect their kids before the incident occurred.

He says the session, which is set for later this month, now has added importance.
