WESTON - Cleanup from yesterday's flooding that wreaked havoc on homes and roadways in Weston is far from over, and already local residents are bracing for another storm. Officials say they have an emergency management plan in place, but they are going to wait until Thursday morning to see whether they need to implement it. Meanwhile, the owners of homes bordering the Saugatuck River say they have enough to deal with. Kevin McHugh says the flooding overtook his property for the second time in four years, filling his basement with water and uprooting his porch. After showing the damage to his insurance adjuster, McHugh discovered that most of it will not be covered. Experts say if you have flood damage, make a list of what was destroyed and try to clean up to mitigate your losses.
