Weston residents fed up after 6 days without power

WESTON - Six days after the storm, thousands in southwestern Connecticut remained in the dark today as crews continued working to repair the lines in Weston and other communities.

The power companies said they had extra personnel from across the country working around the clock in an effort to restore power to 95 percent of people in Weston tonight. However, some local residents said they've had enough.

Tomas Capola, of Weston, said he and his family were forced to go to friends' houses to shower. Capola said his situation has been exacerbated by the uncertainty about who is responsible for repairing the downed power lines leading inside his home.

"Do we pay for the pole? Do we notify our insurance company about this? Is there going to be more work needed? We don't know!" he said.
