WILTON - Residents and classmates of a 12-year-old boy killed while riding his bike are grieving over the tragic loss.

Joseph "A.J." Cina, of Weston, died Monday after he crashed and flipped over a stone wall along Cedar Road in Wilton. Police say Cina was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The eighth-grader was remembered as a true friend and a great athlete who loved to play baseball.

Grief counselors are now in place where Cina attended school in Weston. School officials say the counselors will be on hand for the kids until the end of the week.

A wake will be held Thursday and Friday at the Harding Funeral Home. Cina will be laid to rest Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi in Weston.
