WESTON - Weston town officials say they will hold another public meeting on suggested changes to the town's gun ordinance before voting on the issue.
A public meeting attended by dozens of residents was held Thursday night. Suggested changes in the proposal included redefining the term "firearm," enforcing stricter storage rules for weapons and requiring all gun owners to register their weapons.
The changes were proposed in the wake of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. A date for the new hearing has not been specified.
