STAMFORD - STAMFORD - A Stamford man is being held on $150,000 bond for allegedly downloading large amounts of child pornography.

Police say Roland Roqueta, 69, was arrested at his home earlier today following an investigation that started in October. Police say they seized computers, flash drives and discs that contained hundreds of child pornography pictures.

Investigators say Roqueta lives next to Westover Elementary School. While searching his home, they found two pairs of binoculars they believe may have been used to spy on children.

Police do not believe Roqueta had any contact with children at the school. He is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow.
