WESTPORT - A Westport family is claiming victory tonight after their school district backed down from labeling their daughter as mentally disabled.

Michael and Nikki Porzio say they are still upset that they had to spend months proving that their 10-year-old daughter, Jenny, could possibly fit in with a more mainstream education.

In the end, the district has agreed to pay for an independent evaluation of their daughter's abilities.
