WESTPORT - Members of the Westport Fire Department say they are using technology to keep close tabs on their friend and colleague who is deployed and fighting a massive wildfire in California.

Assistant Chief Mike Kronick was deployed about two weeks ago with a team of 20 firefighters from Connecticut.
