Westport firefighters: It could take days to put out blaze on Post Office Lane

WESTPORT - Westport firefighters say they are monitoring a fire near I-95.

A compost pile of mulch caught fire around 5 a.m. on Post Office Lane.

Firefighters say they are letting it burn out on its own, but it could take days.

The closest fire hydrant is across the street but firefighters say using it would disrupt traffic to the train station.
