Westport girl killed in Maine crash remembered

WESTPORT - A community is shaken today after a 12-year-old Westport girl was killed in a crash while at a summer camp in Maine.

Tess Meisel was riding in a minivan yesterday that was struck by a tractor-trailer in Farmington.

Friends say she loved horseback riding and also played in the Orchestra at Coleytown Middle School.

The YMCA says four campers and two staff members were in Maine for horseback riding camp.

Two other local campers, one from Westport and one from Wilton, were also hurt in the accident.
