WESTPORT - An Uncasville man was arraigned in Norwalk today after he allegedly struck a Westport officer during an early morning police chase.

According to officials, 42-year-old Richard O'Dell was spotted in a stolen car at the Merritt Parkway's exit 42 commuter parking lot at around 1:30 a.m. They say they approached O'Dell, who drove off, hitting an officer on the way.

Police say the officer was not injured and that O'Dell then led them on a chase through Westport and Weston.
