WESTPORT - Westport police have arrested two men that they say targeted a female shopper at a Stop & Shop as part of a car repair scam.

Officials say Shawn Demetro, 26, and his 27-year-old brother Steven were arrested after the unidentified shopper called police. According to police, the men tried to make the woman get unnecessary repairs for her vehicle.

Investigators say the men are also suspects in a recent case in Greenwich where an 80-year-old woman was targeted in a similar way.

Both men are free on bail and are due back in court on Nov. 15.Police are urging people to be skeptical of car repair deals.
