Westport Rangers fans show off team spirit

WESTPORT - Rangers fans in Westport are celebrating the team's first trip to the Stanley Cup Final in 20 years with a special tribute to a local fan.

Some local fans have decorated the town's Minuteman statue in Rangers gear in memory of Scott "Hoover" Wilder.

Wilder passed away six years ago. He was known to family and friends for being an expert with sports facts and information. His mother Nancy says his love of sports has influenced her, and she has not missed a Rangers game in years.

Nancy Wilder says she is very touched her son's friends decorated the Minuteman statue in honor of her son.
