WESTPORT - Some areas of southwestern Connecticut were flooded Sunday after rains pounded much of the tri-state area this weekend.

Residents in Westport say many residential streets experienced some flooding, but it wasn't more than they are used to. Local fire departments brought in extra personnel as a precaution, in case they needed to evacuate residents or make water rescues.

The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood advisory Sunday, due to high tide and strong winds.
