WESTPORT - Westport officials held another conference call today with the National Weather Service to hear the latest update on the status of Hurricane Earl.
Police, fire, public works, education, Red Cross and Connecticut Light and Power officials took part in the call, during which they learned that a summer storm is expected in the area tomorrow.
They say, however, their plans remain flexible, including possible early school dismissal.
The town plans to use its Code Red reverse 911 system to send out any alerts. Officials are also asking people to avoid calling emergency dispatchers to get the latest weather report.
