What’s Ailing You: Pancreatic cancer research (4/23/15)

NORWALK - This week’s "What's Ailing You" looks at the latest research regarding pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Richard Frank, of Norwalk Hospital’s Whittingham Cancer Center, says new promising treatments entail analyzing DNA mutations within a tumor and then directly targeting them with drugs in clinical trials.

Frank also says he soon expects to attack pancreatic cancer with immune therapy.

Norwalk Hospital is holding its annual Whittingham Walk and Sally's Run Saturday at Calf Pasture Beach. The run starts at 8:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m.
