EASTON - A woman is recovering this evening after crashing to avoid a deer, an incident wildlife experts say cannot be overlooked as mating season approaches. Authorities say the crash happened at around 2 a.m. on Black Rock Turnpike. They say the driver's vehicle rolled over and hit a tree after she swerved to miss a deer. She suffered only minor injuries. Local experts say bucks may be out more often than usual as they mark their territory. Mating season begins in late October, with deers appearing in great numbers at dawn and dusk. Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution in wooded areas.
