WILTON - Parents found out on Monday that the toddler program at the Comstock Community Center, called On School Road, will not operate this fall.

The Parks and Recreations director says parents have been calling the department expressing frustration about the last-minute cancellation.

The program began about 10 years ago, but town officials say it cannot continue to operate in its current form because the town is not licensed to run a child care facility.

Town officials are reassessing the program and hope to offer something else in the future.
