WILTON - The storm that swept through southwestern Connecticut left thousands of Wilton residents without power and dozens of damaged trees.
Wilton authorities say it was an extra layer of caution that led to the closing of the Wilton Town Green, where downed branches and power lines created a serious public safety hazard.
Luckily, no serious injuries were reported due to the storm.
