WILTON - Today marked the first Sunday that people were able to buy liquor in Wilton.

Last month, the Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to join other communities across the state in allowing Sunday alcohol sales.

According to the Wilton Bulletin, liquor stores in town can now be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, although they may not open on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Day.

Wilton was a dry town until 2009.
