Wilton man charged with stealing from lockers

WILTON - A Wilton man is out on bond tonight after being accused of committing nearly a dozen burglaries in the last six weeks.

Police say Christopher Corvese, 21, broke into lockers at the Wilton Family YMCA.

He's also charged with breaking into a locker and stealing cash from students at Wilton High School, as well as taking a purse from an unlocked vehicle at a Stop & Shop shopping center.

Lt. Donald Wakeman says the majority of Corvese's crimes happened at the YMCA. Wakeman added that security surveillance video and witnesses linked the 21-year-old to eight locker break-ins.
