WILTON - Wilton honored two men last night who risked their lives to try and save a drowning woman.

Carl Strate Jr. and Tim Labant dove into the Norwalk River back in October to attempt to rescue a kayaker.

Strate and Labant both received Citizen Heroism Awards after being nominated by the Wilton dive rescue team.

Sadly, the woman and her kayaking companion both died.
