NORWALK - The woman accused of leaving her 3-year-old home alone while she ran errands pleaded not guilty today.

Valerie Holden, 28, pleaded not guilty to the charge of risk of injury to a minor. Police say the Wilton resident had asked a co-worker to watch the child, but the co-worker said no. Police say Holden then left anyway.

Police say Holden works in Passage East Kennels, an apartment building in which she also resides.

She is due back in court on April 10.
