NORWALK - Norwalk police say a driver is facing several charges today after a car accident killed her passenger.

Police say the woman, whose name has not been released, crashed her Chevy Malibu into a dump truck parked on Saint John Street Sunday night.

Officers say the crash killed Ramiro Umpierre, 39, but the driver wasn't hurt.

Police say the woman was driving with a suspended license and false license plates. They say she had no car insurance and the vehicle was not registered.
