MILFORD - Milford police are asking the public to come forward with information about a hit-and-run that left a woman fighting for her life.

Police say 34-year-old Amanda Keane had just left work at the Bridge House Restaurant Sunday night and was about to get into her car parked on Bridgeport Avenue when a driver hit her and kept going.

Keane is now in a medically induced coma at Bridgeport Hospital.

Rick Jursyk, the co-owner of the Bridge House Restaurant, says Keane is the kind of person who puts others before herself. He says staff members are upset about what happened to her.

Police say they are looking for a dark-colored sedan. They say the car's make and model are too difficult to determine at this time.

Keane's friends have started a GoFundMe account to raise money for her medical expenses.
