Woman killed in Hartford house fire

A woman is dead after flames tore through a multifamily home in Hartford. Fire officials say the blaze sparked at around 11 a.m. Saturday.

HARTFORD - A woman is dead after a fire tore through a multifamily home in Hartford.

Fire officials say the flames sparked at around 11 a.m. Saturday.

They say the flames engulfed the second floor and spread to the third floor of the house.

Officials say a family dog also died in the fire and an elderly man was injured but is expected to be OK.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
