Woman rescued from Burr Creek in Bridgeport

A Bridgeport woman is lucky to be alive after being pulled from Burr Creek by a few Good Samaritans. Tom Bodine says he was walking

BRIDGEPORT - A Bridgeport woman is lucky to be alive after being pulled from Burr Creek by a few Good Samaritans.

Tom Bodine says he was walking his dogs last night when he heard a woman screaming for help. He and other neighbors used jumper cables and tow straps from Bodine's truck to help rescue the woman.

Shortly after, Bridgeport police officers Omar Jimenez and Daniel Gerardi arrived on scene and helped pull the woman to safety.

Police say the victim was taken to the hospital and treated for hypothermia. She is listed in satisfactory condition.

It is unclear how she ended up in the water.
