Woman struck, killed by flying object on I-95

Police are investigating after a woman was killed when a metal object apparently flew through the windshield of her car while she was driving on

GREENWICH - Police are investigating after a woman was killed when a metal object apparently flew through the windshield of her car while she was driving on southbound Interstate 95.

Officials say Sara Betancourt, 34, was taken to Stamford Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Investigators say the incident happened around 12:45 p.m. between exits 4 and 5.

Police say the passenger in Betancourt's car was not injured, and there were no witnesses to the incident.
