STAMFORD - The owner of a Stamford company says all of his workers will lose their jobs tomorrow unless city officials delay his eviction for 90 days.

Nick De Yulio, owner of DeYullio's Sausage Company, says his business was one of several properties acquired by the city two years ago to make way for a massive Urban Transitway Project.

DeYulio says he has a great relocation site picked out in Bridgeport, but it won't be ready for 90 days.

He's asking for an emergency extension on the eviction order he received on Friday.

"This is Christmas," he says. "Where's the compassion? We've served the city well. I've been an asset to the city."

City officials have reportedly said they are locked into commitments with their contractors and any further delay would hinder the Urban Transitway Project.
