The big blow was Toronto Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion, who hit a two-run homerun. A-Rod went 1-for-2, including a single in the fifth inning.
The Yankees lost to the Blue Jays, 6-1.
The Mets were scheduled to take on the Nationals in Washington, D.C.
