Police: Whitnum caused disturbance at Stamford library
STAMFORD - Gubernatorial candidate Lee Whitnum is facing charges after state police say she caused a disturbance in the Stamford Courthouse Library.
The alleged incident happened Thursday. Police say Whitnum refused to calm down after library staff asked her to follow the rules, and wouldn't leave when Judicial Marshals tried to escort her out.
Whitnum ran for the Democratic nomination for Congress in 2008 and U.S. Senate in 2010.
